Getting here

Getting to Mariensztat from airports

All the apartments are very close to each other so instructions are the same. When you arrive we can meet you either at the apartment or in Barylka Pub (address ul. Garbarska 7 on Mariensztat Square) whatever we decide beforehand.

  • From Chopin Airport

    • By Taxi – Grab an authorised cab outside the Arrivals Hall, not one of the guys who approach you in the hall (they overcharge). Journey should take around 30 minutes unless it is rush hour and cost around Euro 10.
    • By Bus – The 175 will take you from the Airport to Plac Pilsudskiego by the Old Town which is a 10 minute walk away. Going back the 175 leaves from Kolumna Zygmunta which is closer.
    • By Train – Get the train from the Airport to Warszawa Powisle. Let me know when you are there and i can pick you up in about 5 minutes.

  • From Modlin Airport

    • By Taxi – Modlin is the newer ‘out of town’ airport and a lot further away but the route in by car can be the same as from Chopin (about 30 minutes) as it is a fast direct road down along the river to the Old Town (and Mariensztat Square). Having said that we do not recommend getting into one of the cabs there as they can be quite expensive. HOWEVER ( ! ) there is one taxi corporation – GLOB taxi who offer a pln99 fare ( that’s about Euro25 ) each way, which isn’t bad if there is 2, 3 or 4 of you. A GLOB taxi should be ordered in advance which I can do for you if you let me know. It will be waiting at a prearranged spot, you identify your- self and it will whisk you away in our direction.
    • By Bus – Modlin Bus is a good service at a good price pln9 ( Euro2 ) if you book a ticket in advance on http://www.modlinbus.com The Bus will take you to the Palace of Culture from where it is about 20/25 minutes walk or you can catch the 127 bus from outside Warszawa Centralna (Warsaw Central Station) not far away to where we are. Sometimes if I (Jan) am passing I can pick Guests up from here or Centralna on my way to the apartments so let’s be in touch the day before you arrive.
    • By Train – From Modlin Airport there is a shuttle bus service to the Railway Station which will bring you in to Warszawa Centralna ( Warsaw Central Station ). From there it’s the 127 (see above) or sometimes I can pick Guests up on my way to the apartments.

Getting to the Mariensztat from Railway Stations in Warsaw

All the apartments are very close to each other so instructions are the same. When you arrive we can meet you either at the apartment or in Barylka Pub (address ul. Garbarska 7 on Mariensztat Square) whatever we decide beforehand.

 

  • From the Central Railway Stadion

Guests arriving by train will most probably find themselves at the Central Railway Station (Warszawa Centralna). Some may decide to walk, it’s not that far – about 25 minutes. Others may take the taxi which will cost about Euro5 and take 15 minutes (depending on traffic). Bus 127 will bring you close by and I (Jan) also do pick ups if I am passing that way- arranged the night before.

Getting to the Mariensztat from Coach Stations in Warsaw

All the apartments are very close to each other so instructions are the same. When you arrive we can meet you either at the apartment or in Barylka Pub (address ul. Garbarska 7 on Mariensztat Square) whatever we decide beforehand.

 

  • From the West Coach Station

The station is located next to the West Railway Station.

  • From the East Coach Station

The station is located next to the East Railway Station.

  • From the Młociny Bus Station (North)

The Bus Station located on the north of the city, next to the Mlociny Metro Station. It’s operated by operated by the PolskiBus and ModlinBus.
Take a metro to the stop Metro Ratusz Arsenal (direction: Kabaty, 7th stop)

  • From the Wilanowska Bus Station (South)

The Bus Station located on the south of the city, next to the Wilanowska Metro Station. It’s operated by operated by the PolskiBus and ModlinBus.
Take a metro to the stop Metro Ratusz Arsenał (direction: Mlociny, 13th stop)
